Yukiko Kobayashi and Akira Kubo portrayed Kyoko Manabe and Captain Katsuo Yamabe, the main leads in one of the most popular Godzilla films ever made: Toho's Destroy All Monsters (怪獣総進撃) in 1968.

Yukiko Kobayashi also appeared as Saki in Space Amoeba (ゲゾラ・ガニメ・カメーバ 決戦! 南海の大怪獣) in 1970.

No stranger to Kaiju films, Mr. Kubo can be seen in Gorath (1962), Matango (1963), Gozilla movie Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965), Son of Godzilla (1967), Space Amoeba (1970) and later in Gamera: Guardian of the Universe (1995). He also appeared in Akira Kurosawa's Throne of Blood (1957).

This color photograph, from Destroy All Monsters, features Kyoko recovering from her trance shortly after Captain Katsuo Yamabe ripped the earrings containing Kilaak mind control transmitters from her ears.
